Welcome to another episode of the Furnace. Today was an especially fun one for two main reasons.
The first was because there was no Robert, that’s self explanatory, but more importantly it was because we were joined today by an amazing artist and one of our very first listeners, The amazing Inktrovert!
She’s been mentioned so many times on the podcast is has been one of the guys really encouraging us with engagement and feedback on soundcloud so when we found out she was local we absolutely had to have her down, and she was graceful enough to oblige.
The first part of today’s episode centred around a conversation I was having with a friend about Politics and Christianity and whether in an increasing secular and Areligious society if there is any space for a Christian in such a field of endeavour.
The second half switched gears and focus to social media and it’s relevance and effect on our lives and the lives of the next generation whose relationship with social media is a lot more all encompassing than ours.
Of course we’ve got some hookups for you guys as well
Mo suggested checking out a movie by Uncle Spike Lee, Black KKK Klansman which is, ridiculous as it sounds, is actually based on a true story.

Peter suggested checking out the Audiobook Gay Girl Good God narrated by the writer, Jackie Hill Perry

And the lovely Inktrovert also suggested a Netflix series called Fargo which was inspired by the movie of the same name and tells compelling true crimes stories from different periods of time!
